New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will probe the death of 6-year-old Devansh Kakora – a Class 1 student of Ryan International School – who reportedly drowned in water tank on the school premises on January 30.
"CBI probe ordered in #RyanSchoolDeath case. Hope for fair and speedy #JusticeForDivyansh," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted.

Ever since his body was found under mysterious circumstances, Devansh's parents have been reiterating their demand for a CBI probe into the case and alleged that their son was sodomised and his death was not an accident.
On Thursday Sisodia met Devansh's family and said that based on magisterial probe report, there were enough indications to suggest that the school authorities mishandled the case.
A preliminary inquiry by the SDM has revealed that on January 30, the teachers and other staff of the school risked the life of a class XI student, Prajwal Sehrawat, as he was reportedly allowed to jump into the reservoir to pull out the body of Devansh.
Earlier, school principal Sandhya Sabu and four other staff were arrested by the police in the case. But all of them had got bail earlier this week.
