BANGALORE: The sleuths of the organised crime wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested eight associates of notorious rowdies Raja and Kutty while they were allegedly planning to attack their opponent rowdy Vijaykumar alias Kavala and his associates.The accused have been identified as Saravana, 34, Saravana, 27, Vignesh, 28, Suresha, 28, Sunil, 22, Santosh alias Appu, 20, Appu, 19, and Raja, 18.According to the police, the gang was waiting near Uttarahalli BBMP Road on Friday night to attack Kavala and his accomplices. They had planned to rob and kill them. Based on a tip off, the gang was arrested. Machetes, mobile phones and a four wheeler have been seized. Illegal kerosene seller in police netThe CCB sleuths also arrested a man identified as Tirupathi, 45, for allegedly selling kerosene at exorbitant prices, which was stored for distribution among ration card holders.Tirupathi had allegedly stored kerosene at a godown in his house. Kerosene filled in 24 barrels and other goods worth about Rs 2.5 lakh have been recovered from him.
