Chandika Homam on October 5

KOCHI: A Chandika Homam will be conducted under the auspices of the Maharudra Committee on the premises of the Lord Dharma Sastha Temple at Thekkemadom, Mattancherry, on October 5. As a prelude to the Homam, a Prathyaksha Mahaganapathy homam will be conducted on October 4 from 5.30 am. It will be followed by Yagasala Pravesham, Kalasa Sthapanam, Sankalpam, Poorvangam, Acharya/Rithwik Varanam and Pooja. The recital of Devi Mahatmyam will begin at 8.30 am. The forenoon ceremonies will conclude with Sree Sooktha homam, Poornahuthy, Deeparadhana and Samaradhana.The recital of Lalitha Sahasranamam, Soundarya Lahari, Vishnu Sahasranamam and Vedas will be conducted in the evening. Lalitha Sahasranama Archana, Upachara pooja and Kramarchana will also be conducted in the evening. The ceremonies will conclude with Deeparadhana around 8.30 pm. On October 5, the ceremonies will begin with Vighneswara pooja, Navagraha pooja, Archana and homam at 6.30 am.
