New Delhi: Home Minister P Chidambaram will visit quake-hit Sikkim on Thursday to take stock of the relief and rescue work there.

Chidambaram will be briefed about the ground situation and relief camps set up state administration, police and central forces during his visit.

More than 3,000 people were rescued in quake-hit areas of Sikkim by defence forces which scrambled hard to clear debris of collapsed structures and landslides as the death toll in Sunday's powerful temblor neared 100.
