New Delhi: Delegations from Australia, Kenya and Scotland have arrived in New Delhi for the October 3-14 Commonwealth Games.
There was heavy security at the airport as the athletes and officials from these countries boarded special buses. They were escorted by armed police jeeps to their destination.
Incidentally, quite a few Kenyan Athletes have pulled out citing illness or fatigue even as Australian and British athletes continue to pull out of the event citing health and security reasons.
Meanwhile, African countries complain they are getting second class treatment at the Games Village.
According to them the accomodation given to them is not of the same standard as compared to the lodgings that have been provided to the Australian and New Zealand teams.
The Indian authorities on their part claim that these countries had representatives from their countries telling them what to do.
This comes even as the African nations had offered to help India for the preparation of the games.
