New Delhi: The new Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson has written to the Delhi Police chief seeking information on crimes against women since 2013.

In her letter Swati Maliwal has raised concern about the latest crime statistics that reveal there are around five cases of rape and 12 cases of molestation everyday in the capital.

Maliwal said the DCW is conducting a study on crimes against women and the data is essential for that report.

"Have written to Delhi Police seeking information and status on all complaints of crime against women since 2013 till date in Anand Parbat Police station. This includes whether an FIR has been filed, whether they have been given police protection and whether a charge sheet has been filed against the offenders," she said.
