BELLARY: KMF president and Bellary MLA G Somashekhar Reddy said the issue of the proposed price hike of KMF milk would be discussed with Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda on December 26.Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a programme here on Saturday, he said that a proposal to this effect was sent to the government a few days back. “The decision to hike milk price was taken to safeguard the interests of farmers and milk federations. Almost all milk federations in the state have demanded the hike in view of the increased cost of essential commodities,” he said.He also said the quantum of price hike would be decided after the meeting with the CM. On the BJP’s withdrawal of suspension to four MLAs for their support to former minister B Sriramulu in the recently-held Bellary byelecton, he added: “Our moves depend wholly on Sriramulu’s decisions.”
