THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Delight e-toilets, a novel initiative by Eram Scientific Solutions, has won two prestigious national awards for its social commitment. C.S.I - NIHILANT Award 2011 given by the Computer Society of India and Manthan Grand Jury Special Reference Award by Digital Empowerment Foundation, which operates in association with IT Department, Government of India, are the two honours that Delight has won, that too on the same day. Delight was selected for NIHILANT, which is the oldest and most coveted technology award in the country, over 15 other strong contestants, including Reliance, L&T, Vodafone, Steel Authority of India Limited, Tata and Union Bank. M S Vinod, the director of Eram Scientific Solutions, received the award at a function held at Ahmedabad Management Association on Sunday. The award comprises a citation and a cash award of Rs 1 lakh. The Manthan Award, given for innovative startups in the field of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) in South Asia, was given to Delight e-toilet paving the way for a great leap in health and sanitation field making use of Science and Technology. Bincy Baby, head of convergence business, Eram Scientific Solutions, received the award from ICT delegates.
