Director Pankaj Advani passed away
Director of Sankat City, Sunday and Urff Professor died this morning, following a heart attack

45-year-old Pankaj Advani, a passionate film buff, breathed his last this morning in Mumbai after suffering from a heart attack.

Advani started his career as a screenplay writer with films like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Cape Karma and his own Sankat City. Advani was a close associate of renowned director Kundan Shah. Advani’s first was a children’s film Sunday, which he had made for the Children’s Film Society of India. His film, Sankat City, which starred K K Menon and Anupam Kher was released last year.

Pankaj’s was also an active blogger. In his blog, which was called Bakchodi, he usually wrote about movies that impressed him. The blog was last updated on October 25.
