THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Do you have an extra copy of books? If yes, then donate it to a library so that a lot more people could make use of it. The idea of collecting books from the public was put forward by the volunteers of Grace Fellowship Charitable Trust in Mylamoodu, near Aruvikkara. The idea of collecting books from those who are ready to donate was suggested by one of the volunteers, Vipin Wilfred, to establish a library-cum-reading room for students and youths associated with the Trust. The idea clicked when many people showed interest in donating books for the library. More than 50 books have been offered so far. “I have extra copies of books with me. They have already been donated. We are planning to collect different types of books so that the children and youth here will make use of the collection. The library will be useful for many poor children,” Vipin said. Bhakaran Keshavan of Rachana Publishers has contributed 10 books to the library. Some academicians too have expressed interest in donating books. The idea is to collect old and new books for the library. They have also requested authors to donate complimentary copies. The books can be sent directly or through mail. The books can be sent to the president, Grace Fellowship, Fred Villa, Mylammoodu, Aruvikkara PO, Thiruvananthapuram-695 564.
