In the meantime, he should not be arresteduntil further orders, the judge added. In his advance bail application, Kalyanasundaram, representing Kalapet Assembly constituency, submitted that he wrote the Science subject for 10th standard at the exam centre at Tagore Matriculation High Schoolin Tindivanam on September 29. He, however, did not attend the social science exam, the next day, as he was held up in Assembly meeting.Only after verification of the hall ticket and the number on the answer sheet, he was permitted. Therefore, it was impossible for impersonation as alleged in the complaint from Kuppusamy, Chief Educational Officer (CEO), Villupuram district. Based on the complaint, an FIR for various offences under the IPC including 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) had been registered. The complaint was a false one and he was not guilty of the allegations, petitioner said. He also pointed out that the complaint was not given by the Chief Superintendent of the examination centre. It was given only by the CEO, after a lapse of nine days. He had been implicated in a false case due to political compulsions as the relations between the governments of Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu were not cordial, he contended. The summons served upon the Puducherry Assembly Speaker, directing the petitioner to appear before the inspector attached to the District Crime Branch police in Villupuram district on October 11, was only to secure and arrest him under the guise of interrogation, petitioner further contended.
