Members of the Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) demanded that the state government cancel orders (GOs) regularising the unauthorised occupation of land at the premises of ENT Hospital at Koti in Hyderabad.
The orders are now in abeyance but JVV wants a complete cancellation of the order.
Speaking at a round table conference on ‘Encroachment of ENT Hospital Land’ here on Sunday, CPM state secretariat member Y Venkateswara Rao said that land sharks in city were trying to encroach valuable land at the hospital by producing fake documents.
He urged the government to order a high-level inquiry into the alleged encroachment and cancel the GOs that were kept pending for regularising the “unauthorised” occupation.
He wanted the authorities to take action against persons behind encroachment and officials who issued the GOs regularising an extent of 3,831 sq yards land in 2009.
JVV’s secretary S Sarveswar Rao said they would form a group consisting of members of all political parities and public organisations to fight against the issue.
The participants in the conference warned that they would not hesitate to sit on an indefinite fast if they failed to act.
