BANGALORE: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a notice to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa for violating poll code of conduct during the BJP’s campaign for by-election to Koppal assembly constituency.A complaint had been registered against Yeddyurappa by the Commission on September 9 when he had given Rs 1,000 to a team of folk artistes who performed during BJP’s election rally at Koppal. The footage of Yeddyurappa handing out money was captured by ECI’s routine video surveillance and it came to the conclusion that he violated the model code of conduct, sources in the ECI said.
