Even as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal prepare to resume their rivalry in the Wimbledon, former World Number One Boris Becker has already made his choice public. He believes Roger Federer would be the clear favourite on grass.
It's been 18 years since he last won the Wimbledon title, but the prospect of being at the tournament still never fails to excite him.
Times have changed.
The tennis world has seen emergence of new champions but Becker's affair with the tournament which started with his first Grand Slam win at the age of 18, still continues.
"Federer is the clear cut favourite for the tournament - the four time champion in a row. I will be very surprised if he doesn't make it a fifth in a row, even though he is going to get some strong competition from (Rafael) Nadal and a few others," said Becker.
Federer, who will begin his bid for a fifth straight title on Centre Court at the All England club on Monday, beat Nadal quite comfortably in last year's final.
But the Spaniard is widely tipped to push the Swiss World Number One harder this year as he seeks to become the first player since Bjorn Borg to follow up a French Open win with a triumph in Wimbledon.
"Tennis is a beautiful game, goes through ups and downs. Not every year you have charismatic players, you have big rivalries. The sport itself has weathered lots of storms and I think this year is an exciting year for tennis. In fact, the fact that Nadal is closing up on Federer is good, for Nadal and it is good for the game," said Becker.
Becker vs Federer would have been a clash to savour, but unfortunately the closest the German will get to his Swiss counterpart at Wimbledon is watching him from the commentary booth.
