Film not controversial, will delete scenes if needed: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh
Singh said he found the film medium more efficient for communicating effectively his message to people.

Jaipur: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, whose film has sparked a row before hitting the big screen, on Monday said he was not averse to removing some scenes if censor board objected to them.

Singh, who has produced, directed and acted in 'MSG - The Messenger of God', said that he wants to connect to the young generation through hi movie and there was nothing objectionable in it.

Singh said he found the film medium more efficient for communicating effectively his message to people.

"The only aim of the film is to spread messages against social evils like drug addiction, female foeticide. There is nothing wrong in it," he said.

"The film is in the process of screening before the censor board and if the board finds any portion of the film objectionable, I will happily get them removed," the Dera chief said at a press conference.

He said, "There are many rumors about my film and its release, but according to my knowledge the film is in the process of screening before the censor board."

Singh, who was in the city to promote his film, said the objective of the film was to inspire youths to stay away from drug, and other social menace.

"I have not showed myself as God but as a human. I have not criticised any religion in the film," he said.

Singh added that the movie was not for his own publicity or to make him a popular personality as he has no competition with any other actor.

Asked about CBI registering a case against him in connection with the alleged forced castration of his followers inside his Dera, Singh said the charges against him were wrong as he had never asked anyone to do so.

"I have not been called by the CBI so far," he said. The agency has registered the case of alleged criminal conspiracy for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means among other charges under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Singh and others.

The case relating to the alleged castration of 400 devotees has been registered on the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
