ALUVA: A team of students and teachers of Broad Green International School in Liverpool, England, has visited the Janaseva Sisubhavan and spent a day with the inmates of the sisubhavan.  The inmates of the sisubhavan received the students and teachers.  The 21-member team was led by Prof Poula Jonas, Sara Horan and Jonna More. The team included 18 students comprising 15 girls and three boys. The students belonged to England, Ghana, Nigeria and Sweden. The foreign students played games like tug of war, football, volleyball and basketball with the sisubhavan inmates. They distributed toffees and sweets to the kids. The sisubhavan inmates performed various cultural events before the guests. Later, the foreign students and the kids savoured food together.  In appreciation for the efforts of Janaseva, including saving the children from the streets and providing them with food, shelter and education, the team presented a ponnada to Janaseva chairman Jose Mavely. Bibin Ajayan of Janaseva, who was the selected captain of state sub-junior football team, was presented a jacket.   The kids, who showed outstanding performances in various games and sports, were distributed certificates of appreciation by the team.  The team will spend 10 days in the state visiting various schools and orphanages.
