BANGALORE: The High Court on Tuesday rapped up the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for not registering a criminal case against those involved in irregularities in the selection of candidates by Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) during the examinations held in 1998, 1999 and 2004.The Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice Ashok B Hinchigeri during the hearing of a petition by B Raghu, Suresh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed and others ordered the CID to register a case and file an FIR against the accused including senior officers who are allegedly involved in the scam based on the investigation, in one week and submit the report.The bench asked the CID why a criminal case has not been registered against those indicated in the report. Earlier, the advocate general had submitted that a criminal case would be taken in filing cases and probe would be conducted. The matter was adjourned to August 16.
