High level probe in Yanam violence sought

PUDUCHERRY: A joint memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister of on behalf of CPI, CPML, VCK, RJD, AIFB and RSP on February 15 (released on Thursday) reiterated the demand for a Judicial Enquiry by a High Court Judge into the violence at Yanam on Jan 27. Briefing mediapersons at a press conference on  Thursday,  Viswanathan, CPI National Council member, who led a fact-finding delegation to Yanam along with CPI secretary Na Ra Kalainathan, said that the circumstances that led to the death of trade union activist M Murali Mohan, Regency Ceramics Vice President KC Chandrasekhar and firing were due to violation of the laid-down procedures.
