I don't choose roles according to the clothes I'd wear: Sonakshi
Sonakshi says she's happy the way she looks and wouldn't want to change anything about her appearance.

New Delhi: She may have got brickbats for her curvaceous figure many a times, but Sonakshi Sinha has no qualms in flaunting her curves. The actress who was in New Delhi recently promote her new film 'Lootera', said that she is happy the way she looks and wouldn't want to change anything about her appearance.

The actress will be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's period love story in a very Indian avatar, which has been her look in several other films. Doesn't she get bored of the same Indian look that she sports in every film? "No, why should I? I am an Indian, I love traditional look. I can carry it off so why would I get bored. I don't choose films according to the clothes I'll be made to wear in the film. I choose a script seeing the whole premise. Look of the character comes much later," says the actress who made her debut in 'Dabangg' in 2010. Sonakshi though adds that she will soon be seen playing a Mumbai girl in Prabhudeva's 'Rambo Rajkumar' which will have her wearing western outfits.

So what made her choose Pakhi, the character she plays in Motwane's 'Lootera'. " She is very subtle, very simple and falls head over heels with Ranveer's character. And that changes her life forever. The script as a whole was extremely special, so I am happy that I am a part of it. I feel Pakhi was written specially for me," says Sonakshi.

Sonakshi, who has in the past worked in hard core commercial pot boilers like 'Dabangg', 'Son Of Sardar' and 'Rowdy Rathore' did not have any apprehension in working with Motwane, who may have won critical acclaim with his first film 'Udaan' but did not work commercially. " I loved 'Udaan' so much! So wanted to work with Motwane. There was no apprehension at all. he may not be a commercial director, but with his first film he has earned immense respect in the film industry. Which says a lot about a newcomer," said Sonakshi.

Considering that the film has been shown several people in the film industry already, what is the best compliment that she has received and from whom, we ask. " Karan Johar came out after watching the film, hugged me and said I was a 'revelation'. So yes, that felt good," smiles the actress.
