India's Gen-Y grooves to international moves
Choreographer Remo D'Souza feels Spanish dance forms is fast catching on.

New Delhi: Pasodoble, Flamenco, Waltz, Lyrical Hip-hop, Funky Jazz, Bachata are no longer alien names to Indians. With mushrooming dance reality shows, the younger

generation is waking up to the multiplicity of international dance forms.

"Our youngsters are no longer alien to the international dance forms. They are fast catching up with their foreign counterparts. With so many reality show based on dance, people are focusing on various other forms - be it in solo or the group," choreographer Sandip Soparrkar said.

Youngsters are flocking to dance institutes to master the art of dance, which is no longer restricted to popular Bollywood numbers. "I think the change is fantastic. Earlier nobody knew about locking and popping etc. But now, they crave for new forms and people are hungry to learn them," said ace

Salsa, Flamenco and Tango are some of the dance forms that are fast catching up with youngsters. Remo feels that Spanish dance forms is fast catching on

to the mood of young learners while choreographer Bosco thinks Hip-Hop is the flavour of the time. "Hip-Hop is in," said the choreographer of the Bosco Caesar duo, who recently choreographed Aamir Khan in Delhi Belly and Ranbir Kapoor in Chillar Party.
