BANGALORE: In a dramatic incident, a 15-year-old boy in awe of transgenders, has become one among them.Mahesh (name changed), a lad from Maddur taluk of Mandya district, had joined a hotel as a worker in Vijayanagar.When transgenders went to the hotel for begging, the young boy had began to follow them closely. As time passed, he became friends with them. But all was not well when the transgenders started visiting the hotel more than once a day and reached such extent that, after finishing his work, Mahesh went around with them.The patience of Mahesh’s co-workers ended when the transgenders started coming to their rooms to speak with Mahesh. A few days ago, when his colleagues warned, Mahesh left the job and went to a transgenders’ home in Kamakshipalya and started staying with them. His colleagues waited for his return and when there was no sign of his return, the colleagues informed his parents in Maddur about this.His parents rushed to the city and started searching for Mahesh along with his colleagues.On Monday, they found him in a house in Kamakshipalya with transgenders and brought him back.Later, they took him to Vijayangar police station, where the police advised him to lead a normal life.However, no complaint was registered in conection with the incident.
