BANGALORE: The city will host an international conference on yoga, naturopathy along with an exhibition -Arogya Expo 2012 from February 9 to 13. The conference, which is said to be a first of its kind in the country. It will host over 5,000 delegates from India and abroad. We are expecting about 500 delegates from USA, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, Medical Education Minister S A Ramadas told media persons.The five-day conference which will be held at Palace Grounds here, will witness presentations of over 500 papers by experts from across the globe. President Pratibha Patil, Yoga Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar, among others will participate in the conference.Over 300 stalls showcasing various health products will also be put up, the minister added.The state has appointed new directors to three reputed hospitals. Dr Vijaykumar has been appointed as the director of Kidwai Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, Dr Prithivarj has been made the director of Government Dental College, Bangalore.
