Paris: Fourth-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia has advanced to the quarterfinals of the French Open by defeating Daniela Hantuchova 6-4, 6-2.
Jankovic, who has reached the semifinals twice at Roland Garros, broke her Slovakian opponent three times on Monday to run out a comfortable winner.
Jankovic will next play either Jarmila Groth of Australia or Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova.
