The 27-year-old woman who arrived in Imphal from Myanmar has been kept in an isolation ward. She complained of high fever, joint pain and diarrhoea.
Seasonal diseases have been ruled out and her samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune, for the Ebola virus testing. The results are expected in 24 to 48 hours.
