CPM general secretary Prakash Karat has reiterated that CPM veteran and Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan would publicly own up his lapses.
While reporting the central committee resolution at the party zonal meeting at AKG hall here on Saturday, he said Achuthanandan who had owned up his lapses like visiting the house of slain RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan on the day of Neyyattinkara by-election and his comparing state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan with S A Dange in the central committee and state committee, would own it up in public. He also told the meeting that there was no need for a controversy on the central committee resolution published in the party mouthpiece Deshabhimani.
What appeared in the party mouthpiece was the same resolution approved by the central committee, he said.
State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan also spoke.
District secretary Kadakampally Surendran welcomed the party functionaries from the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta. Party functionaries from the level of local secretaries, area committee members, area secretaries and above attended the reporting.
