HYDERABAD: TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday called upon the Telangana Congress leaders to leave their party and take a plunge into the T agitation.Speaking to newsmen after attending the TJAC meeting, Chandrasekhara Rao wanted them to understand how chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was allegedly harming the Telangana movement."No more supplications or requests for Telangana. Don't go to Delhi. Leave the Congress. Be on the side of the people and fight," Chandrasekhara Rao said.He said Kiran Reddy was trying to disrupt the movement by trying to set farmers against the T activists. "He has imposed massive power cuts to farmers. The intention is clear. He wants the farmers to fight with us. This is deception of the highest order," Chandrasekhara Rao said.He wanted to know why hydel units are not being run though reservoirs were full. "It is being done deliberately to create a power crisis in the state and taking advantage of it, impose cuts to farm sector in the Telangana region," he said and described the cut as unprecedented in the history of the state as at no time farm sector was ever subjected to power shutdown. "We have seen cuts for domestic and industrial sectors. At no time were there any power cuts for farm sector," he said.
