HYDERABAD: The 416th Prakash Purab, birth anniversary celebrations of the sixth Sikh Guru Sri Hargobind Sahebji concluded on Sunday, with a large number of devotees celebrating it with religious fervour, gaiety and devotion.The concluding event was organised under the aegis of the Prabhandak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb Hargobindpuri, Amberpet, where a large number of devotees participated in the Vishaal Deewan (mass congregation) at the Maharana Pratap function hall, by offering prayers to the Guru Granth Saheb (holy scripture of the Sikhs).Prabhandak Committee president, S Bhag Singh said the congregation which began at 11 a.m continued up to 4 p.m and marked by recitations of Gurubani Keertans by Ragi Jathas (community preachers), who were specially invited from various parts of the country.Dadhi Jatha Giani Gurdev Singhji Hira of Kurukshetra, Bhai Gurmail Singhji of Tumbiwale, students of the Sri Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Hazuri Ragi Bhai Gunwant Singhji and other Ragi Jathas rendered keertans that stressed on imbibing higher values of life. They recalled Gobin Singh who stood for national integration, peace, brotherhood and communal harmony, through their songs.After culmination of the congregation, the traditional Guru-ka-Langar (free community kitchen) was served to all devotees.
