Kerala Furniture Exhibition Debuts In Thoothukudi With Rare Antique Models
The organisers had ensured all facilities for the visitors, including a spacious hall with a properly ventilated system with fans.

The Kerala Furniture Exhibition is being held in Ramiah Mahal, Thoothukudi, Palayamkottai Road, Tamil Nadu. According to Local 18 Tamil, the people are interested in seeing the new types of furniture pieces available at the exhibition and the comfort level they can offer to them. All household items ranging from exclusively designed furniture like sofa sets, dining table sets, wedding size type beds, mattresses, bureaus, etc. and swings have been put on display. People have arrived here to purchase these items as well. Other products displayed at the exhibition are- World Famous Mysore Cant Carving Furniture, Neelampur Teak Wood Furniture and Palace Model Furniture in Antique Rare Models. These also include the many models of Cots, Compact Bedroom Sets, Corner Sofa mattresses, Tea Mats, Dressing tables, etc. This exhibition will be held till August 15.

Regarding this, an organiser named Dinesh said, “We are conducting a furniture exhibition for the first time in Thoothukudi. Exclusive furniture made in Kerala has been brought directly from there to be exhibited in Tamil Nadu. And we are selling this furniture at a 60 per cent discount on the wholesale rate at this fair. We have kept all the household items in this exhibition,” he said.

The highlight of the exhibition was an idol of the Lord Tirupathi Balaji and other gods. The organisers had ensured all facilities for the visitors including a spacious hall with a proper ventilated system with fans. The exhibition organisers attended to every customer and sorted their queries. The Ramiah Mahal was decorated with lights for the Kerala Furniture Exhibition. The timings of the exhibition are not mentioned in the Local 18 Tamil byte. Also, it is not clear where the visitors can enquire about the timings of the Kerala Furniture Exhibition.

A similar furniture exhibition, FIFEX, was held on May 04, 05 and 06 at Adlux International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Angamaly, Cochin, Tamil Nadu. FUMMA (Furniture Manufactures & Merchants Welfare Association of Kerala) solely organised this event. It provides a platform for buyers and sellers to connect, discover and purchase quality furniture conveniently and cost-effectively.
