New Delhi: A six-year-old lower kindergarten student was mercilessly beaten for not doing his homework by a school teacher in Ghaziabad. The incident took place on Saturday.

"The teacher beat up the child with a rod. When I complained to the police they said that they will look into the matter but when I complained to the principal he asked me do what I can, insisting that students are usually beaten up in this manner only", said an aggrieved aunt of the child.
