HYDERABAD: With the remand having come to an end, the Special CBI Court on Friday extended the judicial remand of Koneru Rajendra Prasad alias Koneru Prasad, the key accused in the Emaar-APIIC properties case, till December 15.Prasad, lodged in a special-class room in the Chanchalguda Central Prison, was presented before Special CBI Court magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma through video linkage. Immediately, the magistrate extended his judicial remand till December 15. The CBI counsel requested that the accused be kept in judicial custody, claiming that the investigation was in a crucial stage.SPECIAL ROOM FOR NUKARAPUNukarapu Suryaprakash Rao, managing director of a vernacular daily, who was convicted of cheating Vijaya Bank ans lodged in the same jail, was granted a special-class room on Friday.A Chandrasekhar, Suryaprakash Rao’s counsel, said that the CBI court granted special-class room to Suryaprakash Rao under AP Prison Rules. Accordingly, Rao will be provided newspapers, a separate bed and some other facilities.
