New Delhi: Having entertained cricket fans the world over with his stroke-play and class, West Indian star Brian Lara played a different game altogether today -- walking the ramp at a fashion show.
Lara drew a loud applaud from the spectators as he walked the ramp on the opening day of the India Fashion Week here.
“Yes, I did enjoy. Though I could not watch the show as I was panicking backstage, but I enjoyed my 50 seconds of walk at the ramp,” Lara said.
The batting maestro, who holds the record for the highest individual Test score of 400, said he liked to pick up the styles whenever he visits a new place.
“I travel a lot playing cricket all over the world. I tend to pick up things when I am not playing,” the former West Indian captain said.
Lara participated in the show for his designer friend Dipika.
“I met Dipika and I knew she had a show today. I was definitely not going to miss it,” he said.
Asked about his favourite designer, he said: “No specific designers really. All of them are doing good work.”
