Lokayukta asked to file report on UBP

BANGALORE: In connection with the Upper Bhadra Irrigation Project scam, the Lokayukta Special Court on Saturday, directed the Lokayukta sleuths to file the final investigation report on December 19.As per the earlier direction of the court, the police were supposed to file the final report on Saturday. But, the police submitted a status report explaining the progress in the investigation. However, Judge N K Sudheendra Rao told Lokayukta Dy SP Girish that he would give only 20-25 days time to file the final investigation report and directed him to submit the report on December 19. The Judge also posted the hearing to the same date.
