Makadee girl Shweta grows up to be a star
Shweta is thrilled to make her debut as a grown up in a film with Mithun.

Goa: Shweta Prasad played the twin girls in filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj's film Makadee, but now the no-so-little actress is all grown up.

In Goa, for the 38th International Film Festival, where her Bengali film Ek Nadir Galpo was screened, Shweta was only too happy to make her debut as a grown up in a film with Mithun Chakraborty.

“Mithun da is a great actor and I play his 17-year-old daughter in the film,” Shweta said.

Shweta's role in Nagesh Kukunoor's Iqbal as the spunky sister of the deaf-mute cricket crazy Iqbal earned her much attention. And now she's ready to act whenever Bollywood beckons.

“I am ready to act whenever I get any good role,” Shweta said.

For now though, Shweta's busy with her studies, as she will be appearing for her tenth standard board exams this year.
