Make education accessible to all, says Governor

BANGALORE: Urging educational institutions to reach out to the poor, Governor H R Bharadwaj said that the poor still need better access to educational facilities. Speaking at the 40th celebrations of Adarsh Vidya Sangh, he asked institutions like the Sangh to set up schools for the under privileged as well. “Greatness comes to those who build educational institutions,” the Governor said. Adarsh Vidya Sangh, set up in 1971, offers fee concessions for girl students and students from the SC/ST background. “If every community takes the initiative to set up a school for their children, the country will have schools in every street increasing the society’s access to education,” said Premraj V Jain, secretary, Adarsh Vidya Sangh.
