Hasina, wife of Samruddin, was shot dead by her sons when family members clashed with each other over a piece of agricultural land, they said.
Police rushed to the spot and the deceased's son Sherjan (40) was taken into custody. The injured were rushed to a hospital, they added. The victim's body has been sent for postmortem, police said, adding that investigation is on.
In another incident, an 18 year-old-girl was hacked to death by unidentified men at Kidwai Nagar in Muzaffarnagar, police said on Monday.
The incident happened on Sunday evening when Arzu Perveen, daughter of Liyakat Wasa, was alone at her residence and some miscreants entered the house and murdered her, they said. The cause behind the tragedy has not been known yet, they said, adding that a case has been registered against the accused.
