Mechanic killed in road accident

BANGALORE: A mechanic was killed in a road mishap, after a lorry ran over him in Babusaabpalya on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as George Kutty (50), a resident of Udayanagar.
According to the police, Kutty was returning home on a twowheeler along with his son, Jobi Abraham George, after attending a wedding in Hebbal. While they were on a service road near the Ganesha temple in Babusaabpalya, a moped came from the opposite direction, violating the oneway, and hit their twowheeler, the police said.Jobi, who was riding the bike, lost control, and both fell off the bike. Jobi fell on the footpath, while Kutty fell on the road, when a lorry which was coming from behind, ran over him, killing him instantly. Jobi sustained minor injuries in the incident, the police added.
