In scathing revelations in the Sheena Bora murder case, her brother Mikhail Bora is said to have told the Central Bureau of Investigation in his statement that he suspected that something was amiss after his sister's sudden disappearance.
Mikhail is also said to have claimed that he tried to lodge a police complaint in Mumbai as well as in Guwahati.
After seeing her absence on social media, Mikhail along with Peter Mukerjea's son Rahul Mukerjee, had got in touch with Sheena's friend.
Mikhail also claims that he had spoken to a senior officer in the Mumbai Police who assigned an officer to keep an eye on Indrani Mukerjea and her driver Shyam Rai.
Mikhail adds that after no one paid heed, he eventually gave up and did not pursue his complaint.
In 2013, Mikhail says that he had questioned Indrani about Sheena's whereabouts. But an angry Indrani had threatened to put an end to Mikhail's monthly financial assistance if he continued to question her over Sheena's details.
Mikhail claims he has had no communication with Indrani since August 2014.
Rahul had reportedly written a mail to his father Peter and step-mother Indrani after he got suspicious that Sheena had stopped her activity on Facebook. CNN-IBN has exclusively accessed Rahul's e-mail in which he had stated he had a feeling that Sheena was missing and feared some trouble. The e-mail has helped the CBI nail Peter Mukerjea in Sheena Bora murder case.
In the letter, Rahul warned Indrani to reveal the truth saying she has impersonated Sheena in the past. "If report goes to public domain it will raise a lot of question for lot of people. I have sort legal advice, advised that circumstances surrounding her disappearance are characteristic of something untoward. Even Sheena work place believes signature on resignation letter forged," Rahul warned in the email.
