MLA tenders resignation

BHADRAVATHI: MLA Sangameshwar’s resignation due to the ‘antagonistic attitude’ of officials from the Congress created a hue and cry in the city on Monday.His followers and Congress workers shouted slogans against the alleged non-cooperation of officials in Bhadravati and set tyres ablaze at Rangappa Circle and Madhavachar Circle, led by Sangameshwar’s son Basava. A mob ripped off a portion of the flex board displayed by Om Kannada Yuvaka Sangha that carried the portraits of BJP leaders, including one of former CM B S Yeddyurappa.BJP leaders V Kadiresh, K Manjunath, Mangote Rudresh and former APMC president Shivaji Rao condemned the act of tearing the flex put up at Rangappa Circle in connection with the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrated by Om Kannada Yuvaka Sangha.
