BANGALORE: Unveiling the spiritual dimension of existence, art in its nascent form has charmed mankind for centuries. Through art, the spirit of evolution has indeed invoked many robust philosophies in a physical realm. Undoubtedly, our desire to connect with all the entities has brought forth a whole new perception of life. However, developing an individual identity immersed in collective consciousness eventually led to the discovery of true divinity. And, in this lies the sanctity of art. Confronting the real and unreal world with his dreams, Akash Choyal’s journey with art is filled with drama and rationality. Experimenting with a radically new medium of triographs, the artist’s desire to recreate his own dreams has constructed new realities altogether. City Express embarks on a maiden voyage of fiber glass compositions and 3D illusion paintings with his latest collection titled The Muse. With computer generated three dimensional imagery, Akash’s artwork creates interesting illusions. The detailing in each of his paintings is also commendable. The artist has recreated his interpretation of life, death and purpose of existence intuitively. Also, the emotional subtleties exhibited in some of his works including Race of the Key, Let me use the Key and My Sojourn indicate his honest effort in unraveling the mysteries of thoughts in mind and their consequential actions.  The fluidity in textures, intricate lines and strange concepts of his work seem to reveal the hidden truth lurking beneath the surface of reality. Each of the twenty four fiber glass works dwell on the complexity of inner energies and rhythms. Capturing various moments and memories in his work, Akash’s miniscule lines fabricate a gleaming alternative to rationality. In fact, all the compositions have a deliberate sense of rhythm caressed with an unprompted flow of thought. Entwined in mysticism and the metaphysical realm of existence; Akash often seeks answers through his artwork to redefine and discover the ultimate truth. In Grab the Stars (triograph), the innocent portrayal of mankind’s attempt at wishful thinking too deserves a special mention.Imparting creative expression in an inert yet revolutionary medium, Akash’s primary focus in art revolves around understanding the fundamentals of human behaviour and life in general. His search for innocence and naivete in his works often beckon pure creation. And, exploiting the power of imagination and conscious exploration of art from within; the artist indeed summons hope in sanity. As Alex Grey (spiritual and psychedelic artist) once said, “The purpose of truly transcendent art is to express something you are not yet, but something that you  can become.”
