As per statistic, Rs 100 has more notes (both genuine & fake) in circulation than Rs 1,000 and 53% of bills currently in circulation are Rs 100 and Rs 10 notes.
Also, Rs 100 denomination notes were the most faked, both in volume and value until, 10 years back. In 2015-16, fake Rs 100 notes were nearly 55% more than fake Rs 1,000 notes.
In last three years there is a rise in counterfeit note by 30%.
