Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government warned of strict action against government schools which fail to broadcast Prime Minister Modi's address on Teachers' Day. Schools in the state have already begun preparations for Friday.
LCD monitors have already been set up in Subhash School in Bhopal to telecast the Prime Minister's speech.
School Education Minister, Madhya Pradesh, Paras jain said, "The PM has shown a wish to intereact with children on Teachers Day. MP is prepared and the state government has urged both government and private schools to organise the programme."
A student of a school in Bhopal Shumaira said, "I am excited to see that there is no distance between the PM and us. My question is why sports is not a compulsory subject in our education system."
"I am very happy that we are going to talk to the PM and my question is why smart classes are not allowed to every class," Vatsi, another student said.
In a statement the CPM Polit Bureau said, "Such an instruction has never been issued in independent India even for the mandatory addresses to the Nation by the President and the Prime Minister."
