THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the ‘navapoojitham’ celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram at Pothencode here on Friday. Devotees from various parts of the world will take part in the celebrations. The rituals of the day will start at 5 a.m. Navapoojitham meeting will be held at 9.30 a.m. Power Minister Aryaden Mohammed will preside over the meeting. Youth Welfare Minister P K Jayalakshmi will release the special edition of the spiritual magazine being published by the Santhigiri Publications. Dr Philipose Mar Chrysostam, the Valiya Metropolitan of the Marthoma Church, will deliver the keynote address. A Sampath MP, MLAs Koliyakode Krishnan Nair, M A Vahid, Palayam Imam Janab Jamaludeen Mankada, Habitat Technology Group director G Sankar, Manikkal panchayat president K Thankappan Nair, Pothencode grama panchayat president V Sreekala and others will attend the meeting. The fete will come to a close with a Poornakumbha Mela on September 20.
