GRP in UP to videograph passengers in in reserved compartments of moving train
The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Uttar Pradesh will now videograph passengers in reserved compartments from the point where the train originates. This is being done to maintain an identification directory for reference in case of a crime during the journey. The department is negotiating with the railway authorities to extend the project to other divisions in the state.
Details of underground utilities sought for Lucknow Metro track design
To ensure that essential services are not affected during the laying of the metro rail track in the city, Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC), Jal Sansthan and Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA) have been asked to furnish details of all underground utilities. The details sought include power cables, underground lines, sewerage, water lines, storm water drainage system underneath and telecommunication lines and cables.
