New Delhi: She has been Meredith Grey's 'person' for the longest time. One of the most loved characters on television, Dr Cristina Yang aka actress Sandra Oh has decided to bow out of the popular medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy'.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oh will be leaving the show at the end of season 10 which is yet to begin. In an interview to THR, an emotional Oh said, "Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go. It's such an interesting thing to play a character for so long and to actually get the sense that she wants to be let go as well. (Cristina) wants to be let go, and I am ready to let her go. We have to start the process, story-wise, for the Grey's writers to think of why she's going to go."
Oh's character, Dr Cristina Yang is part of the original cast of the popular series which began in 2005. Best friend to the lead protagonist Meredith Grey(Ellen Pompeo), Yang was known for being ambitious who often put her profession before her personal matters.
While it isn't yet certain how Yang's role will end in the series yet, it is certain that the fans of the series will surely miss the cynical yet loyal Cristina Yang.
