BHUBANESWAR: The farmers wing of the BJP on Saturday kick-started the three-day padayatra from Puri in protest against the anti-farmer policy of the State Government. The national president of the BJP Kishan Morcha flagged off the padayatra which will culminate here. A State level rally will be organised in the city on December 5 to be attended by farmers from cross the State. The morcha will highlight the anti-farmers policy of the State Government which forced the distressed farmers to commit suicide. The objective of the padayatra is to awaken the farmers to demand their just right, said national vice-president of the morcha Krushna Jagdev. State BJP president Jual Oram and national secretary of the Krushak Morcha Anil Kumar Sharma were present.
