PCB told to file affidavit on plastic waste

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed the Kerala State Pollution Control Board (PCB) to file an affidavit on the removal of plastic waste from Sabarimala.The Devaswom Bench of the High Court also directed the PCB to explain the action taken on the basis of a previous court order in this regard.The court held that specific reference should be made on removal of plastic waste and also about the recent allegations regarding littering of plastic bottles all over the place.The PCB may consult the Sabarimala Special Commissioner for coordinating the management of different departments, the court said.
