Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Diwas on April 24.
He announced the visit during an audio conference with MLAs and MPs held on Wednesday. During the conference, he asked the public representatives to reach out to public and spread awareness about government schemes.
Bhopal MP Alok Sanjar talking to News18 said PM Modi shortlisted Jabalpur in accordance with the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay’s ideology of reaching out to tribals.
“The PM also underlined the reformative measures of Jyotiba Phule and his wife Savitiri Phule,” he said.
Sanjar affirmed that PM Modi would be addressing public representatives once again on April 22 via video conferencing.
The Prime Minister will also visit Jangla in neighbouring Chhattisgarh. He also held conversation with the Bijapur MLA and state forest minister Mahesh Gagda during his audio address.
“The PM has said that he would directly connect to the Panchayat office-bearers during his visit,” BJP MLA Srichand Sundrani said.
