BANGALORE: Around 20 people barged into the Corporator, L Govindaraju’s office accusing him of selling partial land that did not belong to him. Led by Manjunath, the son of the owner of the land, the protest turned ugly forcing the police to step in.One part of the land was reportedly sold by Govindaraju’s father to one Akkathamma’s husband.But even after Govindaraju’s father’s death, the land was not transferred in Akkathamma’s husband’s name. Manjunath claimed that Govindaraju has attempted to sell the land that does not belong to him.However, once the police stepped in, both Manjunath and Govindaraju reached a compromise and the corporator has agreed to transfer the land.The authorities of Lokayukta had nabbed L Govindaraju, who is a corporator from the Ganesh Mandir Ward for allegedly demanding Rs 8 lakh from Udaykumar, who was constructing an apartment in Katriguppe on 80ft ring road.
