Pune: Yerwada jail inmate allegedly assaults jailor Viman Nimje

Pune: Yerwada jailor Viman Nimje was allegedly assaulted by a jail inmate on Monday. The incident took place when the jail inmate, Vijay Charya, was being shifted to another barrack.

The undertrial prisoner has been booked for assault and preventing a public servant from discharging his duty.

Yerwada police station will be submitting a report before the court today and seek custody of the undertrial prisoner.
