PURI: De-plastering of the Jagamohan at the Jagannath temple would begin on Monday. This was decided in a recently held meeting and the ASI has been given the green signal. The ASI and technical experts, about two years back, had suggested removal of lime plaster that gains weight during rainy season and hence detrimental to the structure. The managing body, including the temple servitors and officials, headed by Chief Administrator of the temple P K Mahapatra has asked the ASI to complete the work before the Nabakalebar in 2015.
